A little bit about me.
I've had a passion for photography from an early age, the result of often being on the receiving end of a camera during family holidays. However I think I truly realized the extent of my love for photography when I started my University course and purchased my first digital SLR camera - a Canon 30D. I don't think I've looked back since. I've run an exhibition at a local library which was very well received and asked to stay on due to popularity, and have had several of my photos featured by the University of Portsmouth to promote itself. To date I've completed several wedding shoots and freelance shoots for clients ranging from local newspapers to company executives, it has been a great pleasure to turn a hobby into a profession!
As a photographer I'm competent in the use of both point-and-shoot and Digital SLR cameras and have much experience in the operation of both, having worked in a camera store. I prefer to shoot in full manual mode due to the creative freedom this affords me and am fluent in the use of Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Lightroom 2.
During my college years I was a member of the student union and responsible for the website and advertising sections of Worthing College Student Union. This was one of my first public websites and a great experience, populating the site with photos and news relating to students at the college. It was here that I realised my love for media and graphics which I decided to take on to University level with great success. I've since created a number of websites for clients ranging from limousine hire to a medical equipment firm.
I'm experienced in HTML and CSS coding; preferring to use Notepad to edit code, however I can use Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver as well. I also have knowledge of Adobe Flash and have created a number of projects using this package.
Moving away from media I enjoy cycling, swimming and am a self-confessed film nut. I also enjoy travelling (which combines nicely with photography) as well as sports cars and music festivals.
